AMHERST, Mass. – Kate Clancy (Barrington, R.I.) matched her career high of 12 saves for the University of New Hampshire, but the University of Massachusetts closed the game with seven consecutive goals to pull away for a 16-4 victory Saturday afternoon at Garber Field.

WHAT HAPPENED

Carly Wooters (White Plains, N.Y.) struck first just 1:56 into the game to give New Hampshire a 1-0 lead, but UMass responded with four consecutive goals and UNH never pulled closer than two goals the rest of the way.
Devan Miller (Bristol, R.I.) trimmed the deficit to 9-4 early in the second half but the Wildcats were outscored 7-0 the last 25:30 of the game.
Kate Clancy (Barrington, R.I.) made nine of her 12 saves in the first half. She recorded a career high of 12 saves twice last year as a rookie.

Sophomore Carly Wooters (White Plains, N.Y.) recorded a career-high two goals to match her personal best of two points established in last Saturday's season opener vs. Hofstra University.
