Women's Ice Hockey Announces Class of 2020

Seven Student-Athletes Join Wildcat Program
DURHAM, N.H. – Hilary Witt, third-year head coach of the University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey team, has announced the seven-member incoming class that will join the Wildcats for the 2016-17 season.

"We are excited to welcome the class of 2020 to UNH and the women's hockey program," Witt said. "This group of athletes will bring skill, speed and depth to our team. We will expect a lot out of them from the start and have all the confidence in the world they will contribute immediately."
Chapman, a 5-foot-2 forward out of Beverly Hills, Mich., is a 2016 graduate of Wylie E Groves High School who was invited to the U.S. National Development Hockey Camp in 2012, 2013 and 2015. She also skated on the Honeybaked club team and was a three-time MAHA state champion. Chapman lettered in both golf and lacrosse at Wylie E Groves and was named to the lax All-State Second Team as a senior; she helped lead the Falcons lacrosse team to the state title game in '16. Chapman received numerous academic accolades as she was a five-time High Performance Hockey League Academic Award recipient and a four-time Scholar Athlete in both lax and golf at Wylie E Groves.
Dunbar, a 5-6 forward from Coto de Caza, Calif., is a 2016 graduate of the Canadian International Hockey Academy (Rockland, Ontario), where she was named MVP and to the JWHL All-Star Team as a senior. She also served as alternate captain for the U-19 team. Prior to her year at CIH, Dunbar attended Tesoro High School (Trabuco Canyon, Calif.) as a sophomore and junior, and also skated for the California Wave 16AAA and Lady Ducks 16AAA.
Howran, a 5-9 defenseman, comes to UNH out of Bancroft, Ontario and North Hastings High School. In addition to skating for the Bancroft and Whitby club teams, Howran was a gold medalist with U18 Team Ontario as well as a silver medalist with U18 Team Canada at the World Championship. Last year with the Whitby Jr. Wolves, she recorded 23 points (nine goals, 14 assists) in 42 games and earned a bronze medal. In the 2014-15 season, Howran won a silver medal with 36 points (8g, 28a) in 58 games. With the Whitby Midget AA team in 2013-14, she won the Oakville Fall Classic as well as the Little Caesars Detroit US-Canada Cup.
McManus, a 5-4 forward from Milton, Mass., is a 2016 graduate of Dexter Southfield School, where she was a four-year letterwinner in ice hockey, soccer and softball. She captained all three teams as a senior and was honored as the ice hockey Team MVP after tallying 45 points (18g, 27a). McManus also captained the Charles River Blazers club team last year and finished with 30 points (15g, 15a); she recorded 20g and 19a as the Charles River Blazers' captain in 2014-15. McManus appeared in the National Camp each of the previous two summers (2014, 2015).
Revkin, a 5-3 defenseman, is a 2016 graduate of North American Hockey Academy from Gaithersburg, Md. who previously attended Quince Orchard High School and sharpened her skills as a member of the Team Maryland Pee Wee Major team. Last year as a senior at NAHA, Revkin finished with 10 points (2g, 8a) in 62 games.
Touzos is a 5-6 forward from Foxboro, Mass. and Williston Northampton School, where she lettered in ice hockey, field hockey and softball. As a senior, she helped lead Williston to a program-record 21 victories and the field hockey team won the Class B tournament. Touzos won a state championship with the Mass Spitfires club team and competed at the national tourney.
Turner, a 5-7 forward out of Scottsdale, Ariz., is another student-athlete from North American Hockey Academy, and she competed at the USA National Development Camp from 2011-13. Last year as a senior at NAHA, Turner captained the U19 team and was named the JWHL Player of the Year; she was the team leader – third in the league – in points with 78 (38g, 40a). She was also named the Detroit Bauer Tournament MVP as a silver medalist. As a junior, Turner compiled 49 points (19g, 30a) as an alternate captain. The two-time NAHA All-Academic Team honoree recorded four-year totals of 86 goals and 106 assists for 194 points.
The UNH women's ice hockey team faces off against Howran's former team, the Whitby Jr. Wolves, in a Sept. 23 exhibition game. The Wildcats' season opener is Oct. 1 (3 p.m.) at Colgate University and the home opener is Oct. 8 (2 p.m.) vs. Quinnipiac University.
