Wildcats Announce Schedule; Season Tickets On Sale Now

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's ice hockey program, under the leadership of new head coach Mike Souza, has announced its 2018-2019 schedule that will showcase the best of NCAA hockey. The Wildcats' roster includes numerous NHL Draft picks as UNH will play 17 games at the Whittemore Center with the home opener Saturday, Oct. 27 against Vermont. Fans can look forward to a season of great promotions, family-friendly entertainment and fun giveaways.
The home schedule features all the excitement of Hockey East competition when the Wildcats take on 2018 NCAA Tournament participants Boston University (Nov. 10), Providence (Dec. 1) and Northeastern (Feb. 22-23), as well as a matchup with 2018 Hockey East regular season champion Boston College (Jan. 12). The home schedule also features a White Out the Whitt Weekend during the two-game series with arch rival Maine (Feb. 1-2). UNH concludes its regular season home schedule when the senior class is honored before the game versus UMass Lowell (March 1).
A strong non-conference home schedule includes games versus Miami (Nov. 23-24), Dartmouth (Dec. 8) and Yale (Jan. 5).
The Wildcats open the season at Colgate (Oct. 12-13) and at Colorado College (Oct. 19-20).
Fan favorite promotions such as Dollar Dog Nights and Family Hockey Day (UConn-Jan. 26) will return to the Whitt this season, as well as exciting giveaways which will include limited edition t-shirts and a trading card series. A full promotional calendar and single-game ticket availability will be announced at a later date.
A new Hockey East Tournament format features only the top eight teams which will play a best-of-three quarterfinal series March 15-17 on the campuses of the higher seed. The Hockey East Championship takes place at TD Garden in Boston on March 22-23, 2019.
Season tickets are on sale now. Season ticket members receive the best possible savings on tickets but also much more, including in-arena discounts, access to exclusive parking and invitations to special events with the team, starting with a barbecue on Thursday, July 12. Mini plans including the "6 OR 3" package as well as "The Holiday Hat Trick" will also be available.
