UNH CHEERLEADING TO COMPETE IN NCA NATIONALS THIS WEEK

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire All-Girl cheer team will compete in the 2010 National Collegiate Cheer (NCA) Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida later this week.  The team finished 5th overall in the All-Girl I division last year and reached the highest score in the program’s history (86.25). 

The team competed on March 27 in the New England Cheerleader’s Association Cheer and Dance Championship in Kingston, R.I. and finished 2nd overall with a score of 77.9.  Quinnipiac University took first place with a score of 86.5. 

They also competed on March 28 in the Cheer Central Stormz Easter Classic in Leominster, Mass. and scored a season high 88 overall and earned a first placed finish over Framingham State College, Endicott College, Curry College and Stonehill College. 

The team will host their annual Friends and Family Night on Monday, April 5 at 7:00 p.m. in Lundholm Gymnasium.  To follow the Wildcat Cheerleading team while they compete at Nationals this week, check out www.unhwildcats.com for more information.
