Hailee Flaherty joined the Wildcats in 2012 after graduating from Scarborough High School (Scarborough, Maine). While at Scarborough, Flaherty cheered for both fall and winter varsity cheerleading teams all four years. She also cheered for youth cheerleading teams for four years prior to high school. During her freshman year, her team placed third at the Maine State Regional Competition. During her sophomore year, her team placed second place at regional’s and fourth at the Maine State Competition. Individually, she was awarded SMAA second team her freshman year and SMAA first team her sophomore, junior and senior year. She was awarded “Best Attitude” her sophomore year and was captain of both fall and winter seasons her senior year.
Flaherty is the daughter of Martin Flaherty and Doreen Duval-Flaherty. She also has a younger sister Kaicee who hopes to follow in her sister’s footsteps and cheer at UNH. Flaherty was on the honor roll in high school and was involved with the environmental group ECOS her freshman and sophomore year. In her spare time Flaherty was an assistant cheer coach for youth teams throughout high school.

Favorite Pro Team: Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics
Interests/Hobbies: Cheerleading, dancing, going to the beach, shopping, hiking, kayaking, spending time with family and friends and working.
Advice to future cheerleaders: Never give up and believe in yourself, you never know what can happen
