Football Falls To Delaware

DURHAM, N.H.(AP)-Delaware quarterback Brian Ginn threw for 141 yards and one touchdown as Delaware defeated New Hampshire 14-10 Saturday. Delaware improves to 6-3 and 4-2 in the Atlantic 10. New Hampshire falls to 3-6 overall and 1-5 in the Atlantic 10.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens took a 14-10 lead in the third quarter when Derrick Downs ran in two yards for a touchdown. Quarterback Brian Ginn completed a pass to Jamin Elliot for a 26 yard gain to set up the touchdown.

New Hampshire had a chance to take the lead in the fourth quarter, but quarterback Ryan Day was sacked on the Delaware 14 yard line.

Craig Cummings caught a five yard pass from Ginn in the second quarter to cut the Wildcat lead 10-7. Cummings finished with 49 yards and one touchdown.

Shawn MacLean kicked a 19 yard field goal to put the Wildcats on the board 3-0 in the first quarter. Jermaine Washington caught a 10 yard pass from Day to extend the Wildcats lead 10-0. Washington finished with a game-high 106 yards and one touchdown.
