DURHAM, N.H.-The University of New Hampshire football team was ranked 23rd in the nation today in the Sports Network I-AA Top 25 Poll, following its impressive 42-21 victory over Dartmouth College on Sept. 23.
UNH moved up two spots from 25th after improving its record to 4-0 for the first time since 1981 with the victory over the Big Green. UNH has not been 5-0 since 1977 and will have an opportunity to get there this coming Saturday (Sept. 30) when the squad takes on 16th ranked James Madison.
UNH is no stranger to the Sports Network Top 25 poll after a successful 8-3 1996 campaign that saw the 'Cats climb as high as 12th in the poll. UNH was also ranked in the 20's in 1997.
