NEW YORK – New Orleans VooDoo fullback/ linebacker Dan Curran, a former University of New Hampshire tailback, has been named to the Arena Football League's U.S. Army All-Ironman Team for the 2004 season. This marks the first time the four-year veteran has been an All-Ironman selection.




DURHAM, N.H. — Coaches from the University of New Hampshire football team will be holding their 12th annual football clinics at area high schools in June. The first clinic will be held at Portsmouth High School on June 1, followed by clinics at Souhegan High School (June 2), Memorial High School in Manchester (June 3), and Londonderry High School (June 4). The last clinic will be held at the new stadium in Nashua (June 7).

DURHAM, N.H. — Senior linebacker Chris Robinson (Medford, N.Y.) and junior defensive end George Peterson (West Rutland, Vt.) of the University of New Hampshire football team were both named first-team All-New England in recognition of their outstanding efforts on the field during the 2003 season. The 32-player team, which was selected by the New England Football Writers, was announced today. Robinson and Peterson will be honored at the annual New England Football Writers Captains and Awards Banquet on Dec. 4 at the Lantana Restaurant in Randolph, Mass.

PHILADELPHIA — Junior defensive end George Peterson (West Rutland, Vt.) of the University of New Hampshire football team was named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week for his outstanding efforts in the Wildcats' impressive 20-17 conference victory James Madison on Nov. 8. Peterson's efforts helped UNH to its second consecutive Atlantic 10 conference win and it marked the second time in as many games that Peterson and his defensive teammates held an opponent to just 17 points.




DURHAM, N.H. - Mike Granieri (Linwood, N.J.) completed 16 of 29 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns to lead the University of New Hampshire football team to Saturday afternoon's 20-17 Atlantic 10 victory against James Madison University at Cowell Stadium.




PHILADELPHIA — Junior running back R.J. Harvey (Albany, N.Y.) was named Co-Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week for his outstanding efforts on Saturday, Oct. 25 in UNH's 38-17 victory at Hofstra University. Harvey set several career marks in the contest, including scoring four touchdowns for the Wildcats, with scoring runs of 5, 1, 3 and a career-best 77-yarder.




HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - R.J. Harvey (Albany, N.Y.) carried the ball 26 times for 173 yards and four touchdowns to lead the University of New Hampshire football team to Saturday night's 38-17 victory against Hofstra University at Shuart Stadium.




RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Bryson Spinner threw for 237 and two touchdowns Saturday to lead Richmond to 35-23 victory over New Hampshire in Atlantic 10 Conference football.

The other two players honored were Tramon Douglas of Grambling and Jamal Abdullah of Portland State. Granieri was also the recipient of the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week on Sunday.
