DURHAM, N.H.-- The University of New Hampshire football has added I-A Army to the 2008 football schedule. The game will take place on Sept. 6.

The Wildcats originally were scheduled to play at West Point in 2005, but Army replaced UNH on its schedule with Arkansas State with an intent to reschedule at a later date.

The UNH athletic department added a trip to UC Davis to the 2005 docket, which is the season-opener on Sept. 3.

New Hampshire and Army have met twice on the football field with UNH posting a 10-7 victory in 1921 and the Cadets won in 1922 by a 33-0 margin.

The UNH football team recently enjoyed success vs. a Division I-A opponent in 2004 when the Wildcats posted an amazing 35-24 victory at Rutgers. It marked the program's first-ever win over a I-A program since UNH became a I-AA program in 1978.
