UNH athletics to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina

DURHAM, N.H.-- The University of New Hampshire athletic department has announced that Wildcat student-athletes will be collecting monetary donations to benefit the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund at the UNH home opening football game against Dartmouth College on Sept. 24 (12 p.m.) at Cowell Stadium

UNH athletics will send the money collected to the American Red Cross for those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Monetary donations will be collected through halftime of the football game when the 'Cats play intrastate rival Dartmouth College in the sixth annual Granite Bowl.

UNH student-athletes collecting donations will wear bright red shirts and will solicit donations at the following locations: on the concourse, in the stands at Cowell Stadium, in A-lot and in the Boulder Field tailgaiting area.
