ROSS FURNITURE OF DOVER AWARDS “TAKE IT TO THE HOUSE” GRAND PRIZE ON SEASON’S FIRST PLAY

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire's (UNH) Wildcat Sports Properties and Ross Furniture most recently teamed up to award three UNH football fans with a new piece of furniture—courtesy of the Wildcats' "Take It to The House" promotion.

At the Wildcats' home opener on September 4, 2010, current UNH students Noel Alaka and Vinny Bartucca and UNH alumnus, Craig Rappa ('09), were selected to sit field side in the "Best Seats in the House"—a comfortable couch provided by Ross Furniture.  The three friends and avid Wildcat supporters remained in the seats for the entire game and got a close up view of the on-field action.

"When we were selected and offered field-side seats, we were psyched," said Alaka.  "The players and the action were so close.  It was a cool experience and winning a new couch was definitely something that we didn't expect would happen."

The couch-winning referred to by Alaka is the grand prize of a continuous, season-long "Take It to The House" promotion.  As part of the company's partnership with Wildcat Sports and providing the game's best seats, Ross Furniture awards the lucky fans with a new couch if the 'Cats "take it to the house" and return the opening kickoff for a touchdown.

Alaka, Bartucca and Rappa will get to select a new couch from Ross Furniture and "take it to their house" thanks to UNH's Terrance Fox.  Just 16 seconds into last Saturday's game, Fox, making his first appearance since the 2008 season, registered the first kick-return score of his career. With the kick-return touchdown, the trio of fans became the first winners of the football promotion in its two-season history. The promotion will continue throughout the football season.
