COLONIAL CLASH RALLY T-SHIRTS AVAILABLE; UNH AND EARTHTEC PARTNER WITH GILLETTE STADIUM
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – EARTHTEC, a
sustainable lifestyle apparel brand, and the University of New
Hampshire, one of the most environmentally aware universities in
the nation, announce their partnership with Gillette Stadium,
promoting green practices at the first-ever college football game
in New England history – "The Colonial Clash." This year's
annual rivalry between the UNH Wildcats and the UMass Minutemen
will be played at the 68,756-seat Gillette Stadium, home of the New
England Patriots, on Saturday, October 23, at 3:30 p.m.
As part of UNH's partnership with EARTHTEC, there will be two commemorative Colonial Clash tee-shirt designs marking this historical event in a sustainable way. The first will be a navy blue shirt available to Wildcat fans at Cowell Stadium for the homecoming football game against Richmond on October 9 at 12 p.m. These navy blue shirts will also be on sale on the UNH Athletics web store and at Town & Campus, Inc., 56 Main Street in downtown Durham. EARTHTEC will donate a portion of proceeds from its tee-shirt sales back into the University's sustainability programs.
The Colonial Clash tee-shirts will allow football fans to proudly wear environmentally-friendly apparel that supports their team and the environment. EARTHTEC develops top-quality, impeccably-designed lifestyle "apparel with a conscience" using the most innovative, responsible eco-friendly textiles in the world.
EARTHTEC has been partnering with a variety of sports teams, including the UNH Wildcats and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, providing more eco-friendly giveaways than have historically been distributed at major sporting events. EARTHTEC also encourages fans to be more eco-conscious and has received strong support from the New England Patriots for their contribution and mission to promote sustainability.
"Working with UNH continues to be a pleasure," says Dennis Randall, Owner and CEO of EARTHTEC. "The Colonial Clash is yet another tremendous opportunity for us to
work in partnership on sustainable
initiatives. I am excited to bring the Patriots and UMASS into this
mix as they also share a strong commitment to products and
practices that do right by the environment."
"Only through great collaborations like we have with EARTHTEC can we literally take our game to another level," UNH Director of Athletics Marty Scarano said. "EARTHTEC shares a vision with UNH athletics and their support is much appreciated."
