Artie Asselta, a 1999 graduate ofHofstra University, brings 11 years of coaching experience to theUNH sidelines for his first season in 2012. Asselta spent the lasttwo seasons at Southeastern Louisiana University as theQuarterbacks Coach and coordinated the passing game that ranked inthe top 20 in D-I FCS in both years. Prior to his stint inLouisiana, he spent six seasons with Sacred Heart University from2004-09, where he was the Quarterbacks and Wide Receivers Coach& passing game coordinator for five seasons and coached therunning backs for one season.

While at Sacred Heart, Asselta coached WR Stephen Tedesco, whobecame the all-time leading WR in the school's history, and DaleFink, the leading passer in Northeast Conference history.

In 2002-2003, Asselta coached the running backs at the Universityof Louisiana-Monroe, where he mentored Bryant Jacobs, the firstrunning back to rush for over 1,000 yards since the school moved tothe D-I FBS level, and Rookie of the Year Kevin Payne the followingseason.

Asselta began his coaching career directing the wide receivers asa graduate assistant at Stony Brook University.
Asselta played quarterback at Hofstra from 1995-99.
Artie, a native of New Hartford, N.Y., is married to JessicaAsselta, and they are the proud parents of one daughter,Alexis.
