New Hampshire field hockey edged by No. 11 Northeastern, 1-0

BOSTON, Mass. - In another hard-fought battle between two of the perennial field hockey powers in America East, 11th-ranked Northeastern University was a 1-0 victor against the University of New Hampshire on Friday evening.

UNH had its three-game winning streak snapped and is now 5-5 overall and 2-1 in the conference. Northeastern improved to 7-3, 2-1.

NU's Fior D'Alize Arrindell netted the game's only goal with 3:08 remaining in the first half.

New Hampshire senior goalkeeper Amy Agulay (London, Ontario) recorded nine saves. Her counterpart, Kathleen Madaus, blanked the Wildcats by stopping three shots.

New Hampshire returns to action Oct. 1 with a home game against No. 20 Harvard. Game time at Memorial Field is 1 p.m.
