DURHAM, N.H. - Robin Balducci, the 12th-year head coach of the University of New Hampshire field hockey program, has announced Samantha Geary (Norwood, Mass.) has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the UNH Wildcats beginning in the Fall 2003 semester.




DURHAM, N.H.-University of New Hampshire field hockey head coach Robin Balducci announced that both Caitlin Gillen and MacKenzie Stuart of Shepaug Valley High School (Conn.) have signed a letter of intent to attend UNH and will play for the Wildcat field hockey program beginning in the Fall 2003 semester.




DURHAM, N.H. - Marcie Boyer (Dillsburg, Pa.) of the University of New Hampshire was recently named to the 2002 STX/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I All-America First Team. On Thursday, the senior midfielder was selected to the ECAC Division I Field Hockey All-Star Team.




DURHAM, N.H. - Marcie Boyer (Dillsburg, Pa.) and Jen Stamp (Tyngsboro, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire field hockey team were selected to the 2002 STX/NFHCA Division I Northeast Region First Team and teammate Lizzy Duffy (Oak Park, Ill.) was named to the Second Team, the NFHCA announced Monday.

ORONO, Maine - The University of New Hampshire field hockey team closed out the regular season with a 2-1 win over Maine at Morse Field Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Wildcats earned a share of the regular-season America East title along with Northeastern, as both finished with 4-1 league marks. The Huskies defeated UNH 2-1 last Saturday to earn the No. 1 seed and the right to host next weekend's America East tournament.

The University of New Hampshire field hockey team won the America East regular season title when the Class of 2003, which included Marcie Boyer (Dillsburg, Pa.) and Kristen Weldon (Avon, Conn.), was a group of sophomores in 2000. That year the Wildcats also advanced to the conference championship game and to the NCAA tournament via an at-large bid. UNH, which will be playing on new AstroTurf at Memorial Field, looks to regain its championship form as these seniors wear the Blue and White for the last time in 2002.
