BOSTON - Caitlin Gillen (New Preston, Conn.), a freshman forward on the University of New Hampshire field hockey team, was honored as Rookie of the Week by the America East conference on Monday.
Gillen scored her only goal of the week in UNH's 3-2 victory at Boston University. Her tally gave the Wildcats a 2-0 lead with 32 seconds remaining in the first half and propelled the 'Cats to a road victory in the conference opener for both teams.
