Peña Trestini contributed big scores for the Wildcats, which helped them defeat Minnesota, Temple and Yale at the invitational. She concluded the night with a personal season-high and first-place finish on the balance beam with a score of 9.85. She also came in third on floor exercise with a 9.750 and tied for fourth on uneven bars with a 9.8. Her beam score ties for the third highest in the EAGL so far this year.
Other season highs for Peña Trestini are a 9.850 on bars, which she achieved Jan. 21 at Texas Woman?s with San Jose and Wisconsin Eau Claire. She also registered another 9.850 on Jan. 29 against Pittsburgh.
Peña Trestini and the rest of the Wildcats return to action when they travel to Michigan to take on the University of Michigan on Feb. 17 and Michigan State on Feb. 18. The next home meet for UNH is set for March 4, when the team competes against Penn State. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. in Lundholm Gymnasium.
