DURHAM, N.H.- The University of New Hampshire women's gymnastics team kicks off its 2005-06 season with the "Meet the Team" exhibition at Lundholm Gymnasium on Dec. 11 at 1 p.m.

This season, senior captain Amanda Hall (Bremerton, Wash.) and assistant captains Mariana Peña Trestini (Valencia, Venezuela) and Jen Jones (Billerica, Mass.) reunite with Lindsay Berrios (Long Pond, Pa.), Jaime de Mello (Milton, Mass.), Heather Moore (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.), Beth Bronson (Jacksonville, Fla.), Zoë Magiros (Parsippany, N.J.), Fairen Plummer (Louisville, Ky.), Rebekah Porter (Valparaiso, Ind.) and Katelyn Schenkel (Pittsford, N.Y.).

The Wildcats also welcome four freshmen to the squad, Melissa César (Naguangua, Carabobo), Lindsay Kovary (Huntington Station, N.Y.), Kimberly Suarez (Wappinger Falls, N.Y.) and Justine Turner (Salem, N.H.). Fans will get a chance to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones.

The exhibition will give the Wildcats a chance to show their fans a taste of what they can expect this season. They will be performing skills and routines in each event set to music they have chosen themselves. Following the show, there will be an autograph session, as well as a one-hour clinic for female athletes age five and older instructed by UNH gymnasts and the coaching staff for a cost of $10 (free to UNH Kids Club members). Wild E. Cat will also appear at the event.

The cost to attend the exhibition is $5 for adults, $3 for children under 18, seniors and groups of 20 or more and free to students with a UNH ID. Tickets can be purchased at the Field House on Dec. 11 or in advance at the Whittemore Center box office, by calling 1-866-WILDCAT or online at www.unhwildcats.com. Group tickets may be purchased only at (603) 862-3838. Season tickets can also be purchased for $20, which includes five home meets and the "Meet the Team" exhibition.
