EAGL ANNOUNCES ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM AND OTHER HONORS
DURHAM, N.H.—The University of New Hampshire women’s gymnastics team had eight student-athletes named to the East Atlantic Gymnastic League (EAGL) All-Tournament team, while UNH Associate Head Coach Ed Datti was named Assistant Coach of the Year and Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance Carrie Doyle was selected as Administrator of the Year.
Leading the team was junior Chelsea Steinberg (Ridgewood, N.J.) who earned first-team on vault and beam, while she was second team in floor and in the all-around. Senior Helena Diodati (Scarborough, Maine) was named to the first team in vault and bars. Freshman Austyn Fobes (Howell, N.J.) continued to make a major impact in her first season, as she earned first-team honors in vault and second-team in the floor. Courtney Connors (Buffalo, N.Y.) rounded out the multiple award-winners after being named first-team in vault and second-team in floor.
Assistant Coach Ed Datti, who is in the midst of his 29th season at UNH was recognized for his hard work this season as the EAGL Assistant Coach of the Year and Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance Carrie Doyle earned the Administrator of the Year Award as the supervisor for gymnastics.
