Gray, EAGL's fourth-ranked gymnast on balance beam with a Regional Qualifying Score (RQS) of 9.770, wins her first weekly league award of the season and second of her career; the native of Buffalo, N.Y., was previously feted as the EAGL Rookie of the Week on Feb. 14, 2012. Gray went on to earn 2012 All-EAGL First Team on beam, All-Tournament First Team on beam and Second Team on floor to go along with EAGL All-Academic Team and NACGC/W Scholastic All-America accolades.
Gray becomes the third Wildcat gymnast to earn an EAGL award this season, joining Austyn Fobes (Howell, N.J.), who was twice named the EAGL Gymnast of the Week (Jan. 8, Jan. 29), and Hannah Barile (Sinking Spring, Pa.), who won the EAGL Specialist of the Week award Jan. 8.
The Wildcats close out the home portion of their season Saturday, March 2, at 4 p.m. with the annual UNH Invitational at Lundholm Gymnasium. The 'Cats will take on Towson, Brown and Yale on Senior Day for Fobes, Jen Aucoin (Mullica Hill, N.J.), Courtney Connors (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Becca Marrama (Lynnfield, Mass.).
