PHILADELPHIA, PA.-- Austin Ganly and Ruben Bush scored 12 and 11 points respectively, but the University of New Hampshire men’s basketball team suffered a 77-54 America East loss at Drexel on Sunday afternoon.

Things went well for the Wildcats in the first stanza after falling behind by as many as 11 points (17-6) with 9:29 before the intermission. UNH (3-22, 2-14) then answered with a 13-0 run to cut the lead to just two points (17-15) with 7:08 to play in the half. The Wildcats began the second period down by just four points (28-24), but Drexel (11-15, 8-8) took over and gradually built a lead from there, going up by as many as 29 points (73-44) with 1:43 left to play in the contest.

Drexel finished the afternoon with four starters scoring in double digits and was led by Chris Burch with 18 points and Robert Battle with 16.

New Hampshire shot .368 from the floor (21x57) and Drexel hit for 48.4 percent (33x68). The Dragons also held a large advantage in the rebounding department with a 50-27 margin.

The UNH men’s basketball team will wrap up the regular season schedule at home this week with a pair of home contests. Boston University comes to the Whittemore Center on Feb. 24 and Northeastern arrives on Feb. 26. Both contests begin at 7 p.m.
