Herrick averaged 17.0 ppg. and 12.0 rpg. at Duxbury High School, where he topped the 1,000 career point milestone and was named first-team all-league. He was also named an honorable mention all-state selection and was dubbed "The Most Promising Prospect" at Five-Star Basketball Camp.
"We are very happy to have Sam join our UNH men's basketball family," said Herrion. "He has made tremendous strides in his game from the beginning of the year through the spring. He fills a need with his size and will provide us with a big body in the frontcourt. He also played for a Division II state championship squad at Duxbury, which is a positive."
Herrick is one of five recruits heading to UNH in the fall for the Wildcat men's basketball program. He is also a member of Herrion's first recruiting class at UNH.
