DURHAM, N.H. - Head coach Bill Herrion and the University of New Hampshire men's basketball program announced the remainder of its 2009-10 schedule - the America East portion - Friday afternoon, and the team will once again open up at home, this time with interstate rival Boston University.

UNH welcomes the Terriers into Lundholm to open up its conference slate Jan. 7 before traveling to Stony Brook on Jan. 10 to rekindle the rivalry that grew between the two teams at the end of last season, culminating with the Wildcats knocking off the Seawolves, 76-73, in the America East quarterfinal round.

The Wildcats play host to Albany on Jan. 13, followed by a stretch where they will play five of six on the road, beginning with a tilt at Hartford on Jan. 16. The team then heads to Maine (Jan. 18) and UMBC (Jan. 21) before hosting perennial America East power Vermont on Jan. 27.

The squad will visit defending champion Binghamton on Jan. 30 and open up February with a trip to Boston U. where they will play the Terriers at Agganis Arena for the first time ever Feb. 7. UNH previously played at Agganis on March 3, 2007 when it faced Albany in the quarterfinal round of the America East tournament. The Wildcats host Hartford on Feb. 6 and then travel to Albany for a meeting with the Great Danes on Feb. 9 before playing four of their final five conference games at home.

UNH hosts Binghamton on Feb. 11 and closes out the road portion of their conference schedule when it heads north to Vermont on Feb. 14. The team then hosts Maine on Feb. 17 before taking a quick break from America East play to take part in the ESPN BracketBusters series with a road game Feb. 20 versus another mid-major opponent that will be announced Feb. 1. The team then concludes its regular season slate with homes games versus UMBC on Feb. 24 and, for the second straight year, against Stony Brook on Senior Day on Feb. 28. The America East tournament begins March 4 on Hartford's campus.

The Wildcats officially kick off the season Saturday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. when they play host to Suffolk at Lundholm. The ‘Cats will gear up for the season at the annual Basketball Season Tip-Off Event, which will be held at Lundholm on Oct. 31 immediately following football game versus Northeastern (approximately 2:30 p.m.).
