DURHAM, NH. (AP) Patrick Foley scored the game winning goal to lift New Hampshire (5-2-0, 2-0-0) over Massachusetts (1-4-1, 0-3-1) 2-1 Saturday night.

In the third period, Dan Enders fired a shot from the top of the circle, Foley then tipped the puck into the net for a 2-1 Wildcat lead. Jason Shipulski and Enders tallied assists on Foley’s goal.

Massachusetts knotted the game 1-1 in the third period when Jedd Crumb found the back of the net with over two minutes into the period. Samuli Jalkanen assisted on the Crumb tally.

The Wildcats got on the board in the first period when Garrett Stafford passed to Mike Souza whose misdirected pass bounced onto the stick of Shipulski. Shipulski then put it past Massachusetts goaltender Mike Johnson on the left side of the net for a 1-0 lead.

The two teams battled through a scoreless second period with New Hampshire goaltender Ty Conklin making some impressive saves to prevent Massachusetts from scoring the equalizer.

Conklin finished with 25 saves and Johnson stopped 16 shots in a losing cause.
