DURHAM, N.H. - Senior goaltender Ty Conklin (Anchorage, Alaska) of the University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team earned Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week honors for the fourth time this season for his efforts this past weekend vs. Providence and Northeastern.

Conklin turned away 43 of 46 shots on the weekend – for a .935 save percentage and a 1.50 GAA – en route to becoming UNH’s all-time leader in career wins with his 54th Saturday night vs. Providence. Conklin passed former Wildcat Sean Matile, who previousle had the record with 53.

This season, Conklin currently has a 14-8-5 record with a 2.18 GAA and a .913 save percentage.

The Wildcats own a 18-8-5 overall record and a 9-6-5 record in conference play.

New Hampshire’s next game is on Friday, Feb. 16 vs. No. 1 Boston Collge at Conte Forum. Game time is 7 p.m. The game can been seen live on Fox Sports Net New England (Channel 52).
