UNH To Play Dartmouth At Manchester

MANCHESTER, N.H. - University of New Hampshire Athletic Director Marty Scarano announced today that the University of New Hampshire men's ice hockey team will play a home game at the Manchester Civic Center against intrastate rival Dartmouth College on Thursday, December 13th at 7 p.m.

The announcement was made today by Scarano and Dartmouth Athletic Director Richard Jaeger at the Manchester Civic Center. UNH head coach Richard Umile and Darren Haydar were both on hand to field questions from the media and toured the building while under construction.

The Wildcats currently lead the all-time series with Dartmouth, 26-15-1 and the UNH/Dartmouth rivalry dates back to Feb. 19, 1936 when the Wildcats were defeated 4-1 at Dartmouth College.

Ticket prices for the UNH/Dartmouth game are $18 for lower level, $13 for upper level and $5 for UNH students. UNH and Dartmouth season ticket holders and Manchester Monarch club seat owners have first right of refusal on tickets for the intrastate showdown. The Wildcats open their season on Saturday, October 13 vs. the University of Vermont at the Whittemore Center at 7 p.m. The first exhibition contest vs. Ottawa will be held on Oct. 6 at the Whitt.
