THREE PLAYERS NAMED TO HOCKEY EAST ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

WAKEFIELD, Mass-- The Hockey East Association has announced the selection of the All-Academic Team for the 2001-2002 season. Senior forward David Busch (Toronto, Ont.), freshman forward Ed Caron (Hudson, N.H.) and senior goaltender Tim Collins (Lebanon, N.H.) of University of New Hampshire were named to the team for earning a 3.0 GPA or higher in both semesters of competition.

Busch was honored as a "Distinguished Scholar" for posting a 3.0 GPA or better in each semester during his four year in Durham. Busch is only the third Wildcat ever to be named to the All-Academic Team in all four years since the award's inception in 1989.

Collins is also a two-time selection to the team, earning his first honor in the 1999-2000 season.

Forty-three student-athletes in Hockey East were named to the team with Lucas Smith of Merrimack College earning the Top Scholar-Athlete Award with a 3.95.
