WAKEFIELD, Mass . - Junior forward Nathan Martz (Chilliwack, B.C.) of the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team was named the KOHO Player of the Week by the Hockey East Association on Monday afternoon.

In three games last week, he recorded two goals and one assist, including the game-winning goal Friday night in overtime against Massachusetts to give UNH the 2-1 victory just 48 seconds into the extra session.

Martz, who has played in all of UNH's 23 games this year, has registered eight goals and six assists on the year. Martz has recorded at least one point in 11 of UNH's 23 games and his two-point performance (1g, 1a) Sunday night vs. UMass was his third of the season.

UNH (16-4-3, 10-2-1 HE) returns to action Thursday, Jan. 23rd against Boston University. Game time is 7 p.m. at Walter Brown Arena and the game can been seen live on Fox Sports New England.
