DURHAM, N.H. - University of New Hampshire men's hockey head coach Dick Umile has announced the upcoming schedule for the 2003-2004 season.

The schedule is highlighted with two regular-season tournaments on Oct. 24 and 25 vs. Niagara and Canisius at HSBC Arena in Buffalo, N.Y. and the Mariucci Classic in Minneapolis, Minn. on Dec. 20 and 21.

In Hockey East action, the Wildcats face the University of Maine on Nov. 8 at the Whittemore Center and travel to Orono on Jan. 30 and 31. Boston University takes on the 'Cats for the first time Nov. 7 in Boston, Mass. in a rematch of the Hockey East Championship and the NCAA Northeast Regional final. The Terriers and Wildcats end the regular-season conference schedule on March 4 at Walter Brown Arena and March 6 at Towse Rink.

At the Verizon Wireless Arena, host of the 2004 NCAA men's hockey Northeast Regionals, the Wildcats face Boston College on Nov. 12 and Dartmouth College on Jan. 13 in the "Battle for the RiverStone."

UNH faces off vs. the Eagles on Feb. 27 at Conte Forum and Feb. 28 at the Whittemore Center.

The Wildcats begin the season with an exhibition game Oct. 4 against the United States National Under-18 Team and open the regular season at Vermont on Oct. 11 at Whittemore Center.
