UNH hockey to host "White Out the Whit" Weekend

DURHAM, N.H.-- The No. 7 ranked University of New Hampshire men's hockey team will face the No. 15 ranked University of Maine Black Bears in a two-game home set on Feb. 4 and 5 for the seventh annual "White Out the Whit Weekend" at the Whittemore Center.

UNH (17-6-3 overall, 10-2-2 HE) and conference rival Maine (14-8-6 overall, 9-3-4 HE) will face off in a key Hockey East series. The two teams are currently tied for third place in the Hockey East standings with 22 points apiece.

All Wildcat hockey fans in attendance for the weekend series with Maine are encouraged to wear white to the game.

To buy your official "White Out the Whit" t-shirt visit the online store at www.unhwildcats.com, the Friends of UNH Hockey booth on game night or Town and Campus located in downtown Durham.

Be sure to get your "Go 'Cats Beat Maine" placard as you enter the arena to cheer on the Wildcats. Fans are also encouraged to visit the Dunkin Donuts' sample cart located by the Dairy Bar as you head to the arena from A lot.

The jersey raffle at this weekend's games with Maine will feature former UNH captains Patrick Foley and Steve Saviano.

Friday night's game will be televised live by College Sports Television with a special start time of 8 p.m. and the doors will open 1/2 hour earlier on Friday night at 6:30. On Saturday night, New Hampshire Public Television will broadcast the game live beginning at 7 p.m.
