DURHAM, N.H.-- The University of New Hampshire athletic department announced on Tuesday afternoon that Charles Schwab is the primary sponsor of the 2004 IceBreaker Tournament on Saturday, October 9 and Sunday, October 10 at the Whittemore Center Arena.
For the first time in school history the Wildcats will open the season hosting the annual IceBreaker Tournament, which officially marks the start of the college hockey season featuring one team from each of the four top conferences in NCAA hockey.
UNH opens the season with the Ohio State Buckeyes on Oct. 9th (5 p.m.) at the Whittemore Center Arena. On Oct. 10th the 'Cats face either St. Lawrence or St. Cloud State at 5 p.m in the final day of the tournament. The tourney opens Oct. 9th with St. Lawrence and St. Cloud at 2 p.m.
Both of UNH's IceBreaker games will be televised live by New Hampshire Public Television.
