Regan named Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week

Regan started both games last week and went 1-0-1 against No. 17 ranked Providence College with 49 saves on 52 shots by the Friars. He notched 28 saves in the 2-2 on Friday night at PC and he managed 21 saves in the 4-1 win at the Whittemore Center on Saturday. Regan posted a 1.44 GAA and a .942 save percentage last week.

In his sophomore season, Regan has posted a 2.49 GAA and .916 save percentage in 18 starts with a 7-7-4 record. In his last five starts, Regan is 3-1-1 with a 1.97 GAA and .934 save percentage. He ranks tied for sixth in Hockey East with a 2.24 in league play along with teammate Jeff Pietrasiak.

The No. 12 ranked UNH Wildcats (17-11-6, 13-7-5 Hockey East) return to action on the road on Thursday, March 2 against No. 9 ranked Boston College. Game time at Conte Forum is 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised live by Comcast.
