REGAN REPEATS AS HOCKEY EAST DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Senior goaltender Kevin Regan (South Boston, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team was named Pure Hockey Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week for the sixth time this season and second in as many weeks. The announcement was made on Monday afternoon by the league office.

Regan nearly single-handedly helped the Wildcats earn a tie on the opening night of the weekend in a 1-1 tie at Providence. The senior netminder stopped a career-high 52 shots, including 20 in the opening stanza, for the Wildcats. Regan followed that up with 37 saves in a win on Saturday night in Durham. Regan remains unbeaten in his last 11 games against Hockey East foes (10-0-1) and has allowed under three goals in all 11 of those games.

The third-ranked Wildcats (19-7-2) will face No. 7 Boston College (19-7-2) in a home-and-home series this weekend. The teams will meet Friday, Feb. 22 (7:30 p.m.) in Boston and on Saturday Feb. 23 (7 p.m.) at Whittemore Center.
