REGAN NAMED HOCKEY EAST DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
WAKEFIELD, MASS. – Senior goaltender Kevin Regan (South Boston, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team was named Pure Hockey Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week, for the third time this season. The announcement was made on Monday afternoon by the league office.

Regan earned his eighth career shutout, third against Merrimack. Overall, Regan stopped all 34 shots notching double-figure saves in all three periods. Regan improves to 8-1-1 all time against Merrimack and is now 9-4-0 overall. The senior netminder has a .973 save percentage and an 0.78 goals against average in 10 career games against Merrimack.

The eighth-ranked Wildcats (11-6-1) will face No. 5 Massachusetts (9-3-5) on Friday, Jan. 11 in Amherst (7:30 p.m.) and will play host to the Minutemen on Saturday, Jan. 12 (7 p.m.).
