Fornataro registered three goals and an assist in UNH's weekend sweep of fourth-ranked Colorado College. The senior captain scored a critical goal 15 seconds into the second period on Friday night that cut the lead to 3-2 and paved the way to the come-from-behind win. Fornataro secured the win for the Wildcats with an empty-net goal in the final minute. On Saturday, Fornataro scored the game's first goal (a power-play goal) at 2:50 in the second period. He also helped setup a Brad Flaishans goal that made it 2-1 at the time. The senior first liner has scored at least a goal in each of the first three games and have six points in three games this season.
The No. 4-ranked Wildcats (3-0-0) will face Northeastern (1-3-0) on Friday at Matthews Arena in Boston (7 p.m.) and will play host to the Huskies on Saturday (7 p.m.) at Whittemore Center.
