WAKEFIELD, Mass. -- The Hockey East Association recently announced its Best Defensive Forward was Boston University’s Chris Drury. While Drury emerged from the voting, a pair of Wildcats were in the top 10. Preston Callander (2001-05) and John Sadowski (1996-2000) finished in the top 10 of voting, which included a fan vote and voting from the league’s 25th Anniversary Committee.
Others in the top 10 besides Drury, Callander and Sadowsky included: Mark Bavis (BU), Mike Bavis (BU), Bob Corkum (Maine), Bill Dohaney (UML), Jeff Giuliano (BC), Peter Marshall (BU) and Greg Moore (Maine).
Hockey East’s Best Defensive Forward was chosen by a fan vote through the league’s official website – HockeyEastOnline.com - and votes from Hockey East’s 25th Anniversary Committee, which includes representatives from each Hockey East school.

All regular season games beginning at 7:30 p.m. will be preceded by the "Hockey East Face-Off Live" NESN pre-game show, which begins at 7 p.m.
Tom Caron (play-by-play) and Tim Sweeney (color analyst) will call the games for NESN’s Hockey East Friday Night broadcasts with Bob Beers (studio host) and Brendan Walsh (studio analyst) delivering Hockey East Face-Off Live before every game from the NESN HD Television Center.
