MEN'S SOCCER RANKED SEVENTH IN NEW ENGLAND

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire men's soccer team is ranked seventh in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) New England Region poll released Monday. The 'Cats have appeared in the poll for three consecutive weeks since the start of the season.

The Wildcats competed in the South Carolina Gamecock Classic this past weekend. On Friday, UNH fell to sixth-ranked South Carolina 1-0 in a battle of two unbeatens and dropped a 2-1 decision to College of Charleston Sunday. Juniors Brendan Hankard (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Matt Chambers (Conifer, Col.) were named to the All-Tournament team . UNH now stands at 4-2-0 on the season.

New Hampshire returns to action Wednesday (Sept. 18) with a 3:30 p.m. game at Massachusetts. The next Wildcat home game is October 5, when UNH entertains Northeastern in an America East tilt at 2:00 p.m.
