MEN'S SOCCER MOVES UP TO FIFTH IN NEW ENGLAND

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire men's soccer team improved two spots to fifth in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) New England Region ranking released Monday (11/4). The fifth-place ranking matches the Wildcats highest rank in the poll this season.

UNH (10-4-2, 4-2-2 America East) split a pair of games last week, defeating Maine at home 3-1 then falling on the road to Stony Brook 1-0. The win over Maine did secure a spot for the 'Cats in the upcoming America East Men's Soccer Championship. UNH enters the tourney as the No. 4 seed and will take on top-ranked Northeastern Saturday, November 9 at 6 p.m. at NU's Parsons Field.

New Hampshire is the highest-ranked America East school in this week's poll. 9-6-2 Boston University is ranked ninth, while 11-6-1 Vermont is 10th this week.
