DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire men's soccer program has released its 18-game regular season schedule for the 2005 fall season, kicking off the campaign by hosting the 16th annual NIKE Fall Soccer Classic on September 2 and 4.

The Wildcats, coming off a third appearance in the America East Tournament in the last four seasons, will face Iona on Friday, Sept. 2, at 4:30 p.m., and Quinnipiac on Sunday, Sept. 4, at 3 p.m., both games taking place on the grass surface at Lewis Field. Overall, UNH will have eight home games, split evenly between Lewis Field and Bremner Field, which is an Astroplay surface.

Of UNH's 18 opponents in 2005, four of them appeared in the 2004 NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats will face San Francisco on Friday, Sept. 9, at 2 p.m. at the Vermont Soccer Classic, followed by a matchup the next weekend against Coastal Carolina at the Harvard Invitational Tournament on Sunday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m.

Boston University, the 2004 America East regular season and tournament champions, will host the Wildcats on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. UNH then welcomes in-state rival and defending Ivy League champion Dartmouth to Bremner Field on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m.

For the first time in recent memory, the Wildcats will have a home game on Homecoming Saturday, as the Binghamton Bearcats, the team that knocked UNH out of the 2004 America East Tournament, comes to town for a 7 p.m. game at Bremner Field. Other home games for UNH include Massachusetts (Sept. 21 - 4 p.m.) and Vermont (Oct. 1 - 7 p.m.) at Bremner Field and Stony Brook (Oct. 8 - 1 p.m.) and Hartford (Nov. 2 - 2 p.m.) at Lewis Field.
