FOUR MEN’S SOCCER PLAYERS HONORED BY CONFERENCE COACHES
Eric Masi

BOSTON, Mass. - Co-captains Tyler Jackson (Amherst, N.H.) and Eric Masi (York, Maine) have been voted First Team All-Conference by the America East coaches, an announcement made today by the conference office.

Bryan Stewart (Swanzey, N.H.) and Matt Low (Salem, N.H.), freshmen who saw significant playing time throughout the season, were named to the conference's All-Rookie Team.

Jackson, a Second Team All-Conference selection last season, moved to central defense but still made a significant impact for the Wildcats offensively. He led the squad with two game-winning tallies, scoring the only goal in UNH's victories over Northeastern and Dartmouth.

Masi made a major contribution as a midfielder, setting up the offense and controlling the action for the Wildcats. He scored goals in New Hampshire's 2-1 victory over UMBC and in UNH's 4-2 win at Hartford.

Entered in the starting lineup in several matches late in the season, Stewart scored four goals and earned an assist for nine points in the 2004 season. Stewart was named America East Rookie of the Week on October 11 after scoring two second-half goals in the Wildcats' 4-2 victory over Hartford.

Seeing his first action after redshirting in 2003, Low was one of the stalwarts as a defensive midfielder for New Hampshire. He shared the team lead with two assists while playing in 17 of the team's 18 matches this past season.

New Hampshire finished the 2004 season with a 5-6-7 record, including a 3-3-3 record in America East. The Wildcats were the sixth seed in the conference tournament and lost to third-seeded Binghamton on a penalty kick shootout after playing the Bearcats to a 0-0 tie after 110 minutes.
