UNH is now 3-0-1 so far during the spring season and has outscored its opponents, 5-0, during the four matches.
Midway through the second half, sophomore center back Michael Davis (Tigard, Ore) played a long indirect kick into the box. Derek Bragg (Downingtown, Pa.), playing up front for the first time in his collegiate career, challenged the UMass-Lowell keeper, who as a result failed to cleanly catch Davis' kick. The ball fell to Adam Marcellus (Malvern, Pa.), who calmly lobbed a shot from 15 yards out into the net for his first goal of the spring.
Once again, juniors Michael Jenne (Vernon, N.Y.) and Brian Levey (Pittsburgh, Pa.) shared goalkeeping duties, each playing 45 minutes to combine for the shutout.
UNH's next home match will be Friday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. when the Wildcats again host New Hampshire's USL Division 2 professional team, the NH Phantoms, at Bremner Field. The two teams battled to a 0-0 tie on March 24.
