After a scoreless first half, the Phantoms scored in the second half when a defensive breakdown led to a counter and eventual strike from the top of the box. Less than two minutes later, the Wildcats would respond on a direct kick from the left side about 30 yards from the goal. Junior Matt Low (Salem, N.H.) played a short pass to freshmen Kyle Urso (Lombard, Ill.), who then drove a low shot through traffic. The Phantoms' goalie made the initial save but junior Ross Fishbain (Racine, Wisc.) finished the rebound from five yards out for his second goal this spring.
Junior Brian Levey (Pittsburgh, Pa.) started in net in the first half while Michael Jenne (Vernon, N.Y.) played the second stanza in goal. The two have combined to give up only one goal in five matches, leading the Wildcats to a 3-0-2 record so far this spring.
The Wildcats will next play Brown University (12:30 p.m.) and St. Anselm College (3:30 p.m.) on April 29 at the first annual Seacoast United (SUSC) College Soccer Jamboree. The games will take place at the new SUSC outdoor field complex located in Epping, N.H.
