MEN’S SOCCER PLAYS STONY BROOK TO SCORELESS TIE IN 2OT

STONY BROOK, N.Y.  The University of New Hampshire played Stony Brook University to a scoreless tie in men’s soccer action in a America East conference match Saturday evening at Kenneth P. LeValle Stadium.

   Senior goalkeeper Brian Levey (Pittsburgh, Pa.) made nine saves in goal, including six in the extra frames for the Wildcats. 

   Stony Brook (6-11-1, 3-4-1 America East) outshot New Hampshire 22-13 while the Wildcats held an 8-6 advantage in corner kicks.

   New Hampshire (11-4-3, 5-2-1 America East) finishes the regular season in third place and will host a game in the first round of the America East Tournament beginning October 28.
