BURLINGTON, Vt.
– Sophomore forward Lee Stephane Kouadio scored the game-winning goal 10 minutes into the game to lift the University of Vermont men’s soccer team over the University of New Hampshire and advance to the America East Championship game at Binghamton University.
Kouadio’s goal was scored off a free kick from Jordan Crasilneck with teammate T.J. Gore heading the pass to Kouadio who then headed it into the goal.
New Hampshire outshot the Catamounts 13-8 but could not find the goal.  Roger Scully made five saves in net for Vermont with one team save while senior Brian Levey (Pittsburgh, Pa.) made two saves in goal for the Wildcats.
New Hampshire (12-5-3) most likely ends its season with the most wins since 1994 when the team went 15-5-2.  Vermont will play Binghamton for an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament.
