DURHAM, N.H. -- Chris Banks (Westborough, Mass./Westborough) continues to impress in his first season as a member of the University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team.
    For the second time in his young career, Banks was named America East Rookie of the Week for his outstanding play September 18-24. 
    On September 20, Banks scored the lone goal in the 54th minute of a 1-0 shutout of UMass and scored another goal September 23 in a 2-1 double overtime loss to Vermont.
    Banks previously won the award for the week of August 25-September 5 when he scored three goals in his first collegiate game against Cal Poly and added another goal against Saint Peter’s College.
    In 10 games this season, Banks leads the team in goals (7) and points (14) and ranks first in America East in goals and second in points, respectively.
    The next game for UNH (5-3-2, 0-1-0) will be September 27 at 4 p.m. when they take on Binghamton (3-5-3, 1-0-0).
