MEN’S SOCCER TRIPPED UP BY BINGHAMTON, 2-0

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton University’s Keith Cameron tallied two goals to lead the Bearcats past the University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team, 2-0, on Saturday evening. 

The Wildcats fall to 6-5-4 and even out at 1-4-2 in the America East, while the Bearcats improve to 9-4-3, 4-1-0 in conference action.

Kyle Urso (Lombard, Ill.) and Chris Banks (Westborough, Mass.) each notched two shots to lead the Wildcats, who outshot their opponent 9-5. Urso was selected as the Man of the Match for the Wildcats.

At 36:13, Cameron got the Bearcats on the board on a deflected shot that found its way to the back of the net.

In the second half, the forward increased their lead with a tally just two seconds shy of the 65 minute mark. The goal, which was assisted by Darren McAllister, was his seventh of the season.

Jason Stenta made four saves in the win for the Bearcats. With less than a minute to play, Banks had a chance to get the Wildcats on the board, but Stenta was able to make the stop. 

The Wildcats return home to host the Retrievers of UMBC on Wednesday, Oct. 29 in the last home game of the regular season. Kickoff on Bremner Field is scheduled for 7
