VOTE BANKS FOR AMERICA EAST FANS' CHOICE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Chris Banks (Westborough, Mass.), a senior forward on the University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team, is one of eight candidates on the 2009 America East Men’s Soccer Fans’ Choice Player of the Year online ballot.

Voting at AmericaEast.com continues until 12 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2 – only one vote per person and valid e-mail address. The winner will be announced Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Banks, , with two assists Wednesday vs. Binghamton, has recorded a point in six of the last seven games and has helped lead the Wildcats (9-5-2, 6-0-1 America East) to the regular-sesaon title and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming league tournament. He leads UNH in goals (six), game-winning goals (four), points (16) and shots (55).

UNH’s Kyle Urso was runner-up in last year’s inaugural Fans’ Choice Player of the Year voting.
