MEN'S SOCCER ANNOUNCES SPRING SCHEDULE
DURHAM, N.H.
– The University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team has
released its spring schedule for the upcoming 2010 season.
The six-game slate opens up with an 11 a.m. matchup against Holy
Cross (3/28) at Cowell Stadium. The Wildcats continue their spring
schedule the following weekend against UMass Lowell (4/9) at Cowell
Stadium with kickoff set for 5 p.m.
New Hampshire will play host to Franklin Pierce (4/16) on Bremner
Field at 7 p.m. Two days later the Wildcats wrap up the weekend
with a 3 p.m. matchup against Vermont (4/18) at Cowell Stadium.
The following weekend the ‘Cats finish off the spring
schedule with a host of three games at Cowell Stadium. New
Hampshire kicks off the day with an 11:30 a.m. matchup against
Southern New Hampshire University, which will feature two 25-minute
halves. The day continues with a pair of 90-minute matchups, first
with a 1 p.m. game between SNHU and Dartmouth and the second
between UNH and Dartmouth at 3 p.m.
Last season, the Wildcats finished with a 9-7-2 record and a 6-0-1
mark in America East play. New Hampshire wrapped up the year
earning its first regular-season crown since 1994 and its first
outright title ever. It is the first time since 1997 that a team
completed the conference schedule without a loss and is also UNH's
best conference record since also compiling a 6-0-1 mark in 1994.
