Men's Soccer Takes Part in Soles4Souls Shoe Drive
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's soccer team will be conducting a shoe drive in partnership with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for the non-profit organization Soles4Souls at its next two spring home games.
SAAC is coordinating the drive as part of its spring service project, working with Soles4Souls in an effort to facilitate shoe donations to those who desperately need footwear worldwide. The Nashville-based charity, which has donated over 12 million pairs of shoes, has been actively distributing shoes to people in need throughout the world since 2005.
The men's soccer program is looking to increase those numbers, as they will have a collection box present at its next two games on Bremner Field for anyone wishing to donate. The Wildcats will take on UMass Lowell (April 8) and Franklin Pierce (April 15), with both kickoffs set for 6:30 p.m.
If you are unable to attend either game and still want to donate, collection boxes are also present throughout UNH's field house from Friday, April 8 to Monday, April 18.
