CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Senior midfielder Brad Hilton (Merrimack, N.H.) and freshman goalkeeper Travis Worra (Lancaster, Pa.) both earned America East All-Conference honors, the conference announced Thursday.
Hilton claimed All-Conference Second Team honors for the third straight year, while Worra headlines the Wildcat freshman class, earning a spot on the All-Rookie Team.
Hilton started in all 18 games this season, posting career highs in points (10) and assists (6), while also netting a pair of goals. His assist total ranked first among all Wildcats and second in the conference. One of his most memorable performances of the season came when he notched a game-winning goal against Air Force (Sept. 23), lifting the Wildcats to a 1-0 victory in the first round of the Nike Fall Classic. He also had a solid outing in the season-opener when he punched in a goal to propel UNH to a 2-1 victory over Rhode Island (Aug. 26).
Worra was equally impressive, as he was named America East Rookie of the Week twice while appearing in 17 games and making 16 starts this season. He rounded out the season ranking third in the conference in both goals against average (1.13) and saves (61), fourth in shutouts (5) and fifth in save percentage (.753). He finished the year on a strong note, allowing no more than one goal in four of the final five games of the season. During that streak he earned a shutout against Dartmouth (Nov. 1) and compiled a career-high nine saves versus Vermont (Oct. 22).
